The Chaka Kahn foundation mentors middle school students and their parents from School District 7 (Watts/Compton) area in Los Angeles to assist them in raising their achievement levels in school and help them go on to college by providing scholarships and ongoing workshops throughout the school year, was teaming with Bear Sterns Investment Group and "Pursuit of Happyness" author Chris Gardner to present an inspiration talk on  prosperity for kids.
